Who Am I?

Posted in Group:

I haven't posted in quite sometime; I dare say it has been somewhere around 9 months since I have posted. So many people have changed--I think I have changed too.

I have been hesitant to say, "I am recovered" because deep down I still have thoughts--but more than ever I am scared of going back down the path of destruction and chaos. I find myself recently though eating less because of an illness. I try and force myself to eat enough so I don't lose, but a failing appetite forces me to stop. I try to get something in at every meal. No matter how small I am trying to take steps to stay away from ED behaviors. I have worked too hard to let an illness push me backwards.

I haven't been to therapy in a while--I guess you can say I sort of "graduated". I have thought about making an appointment, just to check in ya know. I think I will do that. Being sick has gotten me down, and concerned. Sometimes I think the best way to stay healthy is to be proactive. I will do what I have to, and what I can to stay healthy--to continue growing into a strong, confident woman.

Welcome Back, ABrum! I'm new here and there really is much to learn from eachother. I'm glad you are reaching out and determined to continue with your recovery despite the obastacles. It seems there are constantly distractions that make recovery much harder, or in my case decide that I want recovery more than ever and don't want to turn back-and you stated the same. You are determined to do what it takes to recover!!!
