I need help

Posted in Group:

I need help, I am finding too much comfort in food, spending all my money on big junkfood supplies and coming home, hiding in my room and eating all the food then making myself sick. I feel like a creepy weirdo as I've just moved in with new people. I used to smoke pot at night which made me feel not lonely, now I use food. I hate this cycle. Everyday I tell myself I won't do it, and everyday I do it again.

Let me see if I can help but wait, I need to make a run to kitchen, Be right back....... And I'm back with the oreo's. Yes-true. Anyway no magical cure here. Maybe some counceling and group therapy? whatever helps but really you want practical advise. May seem silly but eat raisin bran, big bowls of it with what ever kind of milk you want and yes, add sugar. Eat it for breakfast and your late night snacking binge. It seems to help curb the cravings and such. At least this is what I do. Also though, have a daily self encouragement talk with yourself. Tell yourself that you have made some recent changes, that you dont do well with changes And that trying to have a connection with new people sucks. It is overwhelming. Did you know that it takes the average human being aprox.3 months to heal and settle their body, soul, and mind after a 'change' ? Also maybe find ways to connect with others like a class about something you are interested in, not one you need, just want. I really dont have much else-since I deal with the same sort of thing, just...give yourself a break. say I love food, it helps me deal and I'll come out of my room when I'm darn well ready to and I'll smile and say Hi when I'm darn well ready. and should/should have thoughts suck. Love yourself, laugh at your self. I'm feeling a little better already. God Bless.
