Any ideas?

Posted in Group:

Hey so I know I've posted about this before, but I'm still fighting eating disorders (I've never actually acted on it, but I really struggle with the mentality). I'm OCD, a perfectionist. I've been told that perfectionists are more likely to have eating disorders which makes total sense. I have a therapist, but she doesn't know about the eating disorders and I'm too scared to tell her. I just read about some guys who died from eating disorders and I realized I REALLY want to stop it BEFORE it starts, but I don't know how. Any ideas? Thanks bunches! <3

maybe you could talk to your therapist in broader terms... just let her know that something is going on and you realize it's a problem, but that you are scared to ask for help, say that you'd like to work up to talking about it and help getting up the nerve to do so

read Kellie... um... i think it's Montgomery?? she is a therapist here and recently posted on the stages of denial in an eating disorder, it was really interesting.

I was about to do something awesome again, but I told myself, "Enough is enough! That's plenty of awesome for one day."

"They say that marriage is about making two lives into one... nobody told me that meant we both would end up becoming HIM"
